Oh hey, friend! I’m Nicole.

It’s so nice to “meet” you!

I’m a creative person at heart, smart, and driven.

I live in the city and love it, but I spend a ton of my time outdoors with my partner Reed and pups Nala and Otis. Given the opportunity, you might find me hiking, relaxing in a hammock in a park, exploring a new trail, or running off to the mountains for a reset when I’m not on call.

When I’m at home enjoying some time to myself, you might find me on a comfy couch with a blanket, surrounded by plants from the farmer’s market, snuggled up with the pups and my two cats, Hattie and Moose. I have a deep appreciation for good food and company. I’m an introverted extrovert (promise, that’s a real thing and when you get to know me, you will understand more!), and I’ve been told I have a contagious laugh and a hilarious sense of humor.  I’ll let you decide if that’s true. Ha!

Let’s get down to business.

I’m a Doula and I’ve been supporting birthing people in the St. Louis birth and postpartum scene for nearly a decade. Additionally, I’ve been immersed in my career in childcare for nearly 15 years. The two marry together perfectly and together they have allowed me to build confidence with my clients and their ability to make informed choices every step of the way when it comes to their parenting foundation.

I was raised within the St. Louis birthing community and have access to resources and connections for all of my client’s needs. It brings me immense joy to support my clients through one of the most vulnerable times in their life. I’m extremely passionate about empowering birthing people throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys.

I studied Human Rights in college at Webster University and you better believe a large portion of my passion for empowering the birthing person is derived from my education as well as my own life experiences.

I’m an outspoken advocate and ally within the LGBTQ+ community as well as the Black Lives Matter movement, I’m bisexual, I identify with she/her pronouns, and I’m all about body positivity and empowerment.

My Credentials:

Birth is unpredictable and it is vital that because of this, birth professionals should always have a back up plan in case a situation arises where we can’t make it to your birth. Accidents, illness and life happens and while it is my top priority to make it to your birth, having a back up doula ensures you will always have someone with you even in the unpredictability.

In the event that my back up doula is utilized, my client will receive care from my back up at no additional cost.

Meet Stacy!

Stacy Helm is my back up doula extraordinaire! She and I met at a doula training about 5 years ago and hit it off. We quickly became besties in all facets of life, and even ended up enrolling in another certification course together to further our education.

While it’s true that no two doulas are alike, Stacy and I have very similar approaches to the way we doula. We are constantly bouncing ideas off one another whether it be during a trickier birth, an incredible idea for our business, or even when we’re just chatting about life. I trust Stacy’s input and wisdom fully.

Stacy is a bubbly fresh breath of air, always making you feel loved, empowered and safe. Like myself, Stacy has a vast wealth of knowledge and resources at her fingertips. I feel confident that in the event that I am unable to make it to your birth, Stacy will, without a doubt, be everything you need until I’m able to get to you.
